Rudy Riveron Sanchez

Rudy Riverón Sánchez is an award winning writer/director. He is a Cuban national, born in Holguin in the south east of the island. After working in theatre as an actor in Holguin, he moved to Havana to study Film Direction at El Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) while also working as a 2nd assistant director on channel Tele Rebelde at the Instituto Cubano de Radio y Television (ICRT). He moved to the UK in 2002. He undertook a BA (Hons) in Film and Television Production at York St. John University where, in his final year, he was awarded a prize for the student who contributed most to the course and his short film 'Beyond Reach' was nominated for the 2009 Royal Television Society Student Award for the Yorkshire Region. He then worked on several low budget independent feature films, shorts, and music videos in a variety of roles. In 2010, Rudy returned to university to undertake the Northern Film School MA Filmmaking. Shortly after this, Rudy set up AlmostFilm Productions through which he directed a strong portfolio of music videos. He then wrote his first feature film, ‘¿Eres tú, papá?’, the first psychological horror film to be made in Cuba. Rudy is currently developing his next feature film.

Emma Berkofsky

Emma has been working intensively with writers and directors for 25 years, starting out as a script reader for Miramax and Paramount and progressing to Head of Development for publicly funded British Screen. Here she identified new talent and worked on first features from then emerging filmmakers such as Andrea Arnold, Gavin Hood and Michael Winterbottom. Emma is currently 'Head of Development' at Lionsgate UK and has worked on a range of British films such as ‘Filth’, ‘Eddie The Eagle’ and ‘Their Finest’, as well as Executive Producing ‘The Keith Lemon Film’ and developing the current slate.
Reymel Delgado Rodriguez
LINE PRODUCER
Reymel is an experienced line producer. Over the past 10 years he has worked on a range of feature films, documentaries, commercials, and music videos.
Raul Perez Ureta
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Raul has been cinematographer for some of the best Cuban films in the last 30 years, with 51 films to his credit. These include ‘Madagascar’, ‘Amor Vertical’, ‘Life is to Whistle’, ‘Havana Suite’, and ‘Jose Marti: el ojo del canario’. In 2010 he was awarded the Cuban National Film Prize.
Onelio Larralde
ART DIRECTOR
Onelio has more than 20 years experience in the Cuban film industry. His credits include ‘Adorables mentiras’, ‘Guantanamera’,‘Melodrama’, and ‘The Waiting List’.
James Williams
COMPOSER
James is singer-songwriter of the Manchester band NO CEREMONY///, whose debut song HURTLOVE was labelled the 'hottest record' in the world by DJ Zane Lowe the day it was posted online. His compositions have been used for trailers for feature films, including ‘Quartet’ (2012), and the London 2012 Olympics.
Owain Kelly
COMPOSER
Owain is a multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer. He has worked alongside James Williams in various projects for the last 12 years, most recently in NO CEREMONY///. Along with James, his compositions have been used for trailers for feature films, including ‘Quartet’ (2012), and the London 2012 Olympics.
Aurora Vogeli
EDITOR
Aurora graduated in 2017 from the National Film and Television School, London, with an MA in film editing. She gained her reputation through her work on various short films that demonstrate her versatility as an editor. She was editor for the documentary ‘Acta Non Verba’.
Ben Baird
SOUND DESIGNER
Ben is a three times BAFTA winner who has worked in the UK film and television industry for over 30 years. His credits include ‘The Levelling’ and ‘Lady Macbeth’.
Libia Batista
CASTING DIRECTOR
Libia has been a casting director in Cuba for more than 30 years. Her credits include ‘7 Days in Havana’, ‘Melaza’, ‘Sin Alas’, and ‘Papa Hemingway in Cuba’.
